I'm not sure how we got back home. I have no idea what is going on; my brain is still functioning, and I can't be bothered to look for answers for fear that he may do something else. What if he comes back tomorrow and steals Athen from my hands? He didn't say anything about knowing my daughter was his daughter, but the worry that had built up in me was something I couldn't shake. What if he had a genuine desire to make my life miserable as a result of what I had done to him? Because my foot had given out, I just sat on the floor and waited.
