EVELYN'S P.O.V

I pursed my lips as I was silent for a minute. I let out a sigh after. It's not like I don't want to talk about my so-called biological mother—more like Eve's mother, however, it was not my story to tell and it wasn't my real mother either so I can't just carelessly talk about it knowing how much it pained Eve when she learned that her mother committed suicide right after she was born.

“Yes, I know who she is.” I just simply said that there was no room for any other questions regarding Eve's parents.

Phoenix could sense that I seemed not to want to talk about the matter of my parents so he tacitly changed the subject.

“By the way, are your plans for the future still the same? Wanting the Marvick Clans to ruin as well as those people who wronged you?” Phoenix asked while I sat on a chair, looking at the sky as I answered.

“Yeah, that's all my plans for now.“ I dejectedly said while staring at the sky.
