The office was at the back on the right and my mate led me into the room. He let go of my hand to close the door. Then Aramis explained "Your father will probably want to negotiate. He has trouble accepting that your brother is the Alpha. Your father continues to try to interfere."

Aramis walked over to the chair behind the desk. It was the usual black swivel chair that a boss had in his office. The desk was a matching dark gray. The room was generally darkly decorated.

I made my way to one of the two chairs in front of the desk. As in the last house, the room was otherwise pretty empty. There were shelves and a cupboard, but there was nothing on the shelves. The desk was also almost completely empty, with only a telephone on it.

As I sat down, I asked, "Then why are you calling him at all? He has no right to negotiate with you anymore. And he was never interested in peace. Why are you doing him this favor?"
