My head hurts so much, I could swear the giant ape from The Grinch smashed my head with his cymbals instead of the Grinch or that meme from TV where a dark-skinned woman in a nightgown slams two baking trays together, I think my head was between the trays.

I groan and raise my head, regretting it. I let my head fall back and to my surprise, it doesn't fall on my neck, but lands on something quite soft

"You're awake."

I open my eyes, "someone please tell me that's not Dracula I've been tied to and I'm imagining it."

I hear him laugh, "Sorry, unfortunately, you're here with me."

I try to look behind me, which is a stupid idea. "Good God, my head hurts so much." I say, breathing heavily.

"Stay calm, they've been pretty rough on you. Just for your information, Amanda, Scarlett, and a few other faces you know have teamed up to make your life hell and a camera is filming the whole thing."
