Chapter 109. Undress

"I love you, Mommy…"

Those were the last words Marsha said before she got knocked out on the bed. Michelle pulled her blanket up and caressed Marsha’s hair with a smile, and then before she left her room, she kissed her forehead.

It was already nine o’clock in the evening. Michelle could not sleep as she wanted to wait for Ethan to go home and somehow talk to him regarding her father’s situation. He sent her a text message saying that he’d be home late because of a project that he had to work on but didn’t indicate around what time that would be.

She took a night bath and wore some comfortable sleepwear before she went down to the living room to wait for Ethan. Sitting on the couch, she was organizing her thoughts so that she wouldn’t stutter when she spoke with him.

Michelle almost slept as she leaned her head on the armrest of the couch when she heard the main door open. She instantly got off of the couch and saw Ethan walking towards the doorway.
