Chapter 108. Rehab

A lot of questions loomed over Michelle. She could not fathom why Ethan was acting strangely towards her.

He acted like a normal family leader. One that took care of their daughter, and kissed his wife goodbye whenever he went to work. They hadn’t even argued for the last couple of days after the unwanted visit of his parents. Not that she wanted them to argue, as she hated such things... But what happened to his promise of making her life a living hell?

She expected her life to have some pieces cut from hell. Well, at some point, she deserved it. When Ethan assured her that she’d be punished for what she did, she already prepared herself as she knew he’d inflict her with so much pain, but it wasn’t the case.

She literally felt like home and had been back from her old marriage life.

"Mommy! Grandma sent me a lot of gifts!" Marsha exclaimed, and that made Michelle come back to reality.

She was standing on the balcony where she could see the lake next to
