She stood in the terminal of the mall, waiting for her father to get their car from the parking lot.

Michelle didn’t know what to feel. Her chest still tightened after what happened inside the mall. The adrenaline rush that coursed through her body was unexpected. She had never felt that way before. The sheer amount of hope that washed over her upon seeing her husband on the escalator brought her familiar emotions that only Ethan could make her feel.
