Logan’s POV
I wanted to set her free. But she would leave. So I needed to do the one thing that would make her stay forever: show her how much I loved her…
I dragged my hand along her bare back and drew circles there; my mind drifted into my own thoughts as she lay there over my bare chest. I listened to her slow breath and felt the warmth of her breath emanating over my skin. And all that was in my head was turning this woman back up against the wall and screaming how much I loved her until she screamed back my name.
The thought makes me chuckle, and she stirs on my chest, lifting her head to look at me. Still, I could not stop smiling, and I did not want to offend her. She looked like a little baby, my little baby. Her raven black hair was sprawled over her small face, and her lips pouted as she wondered what was in my head, her eyes blinking at me.
“Why are you smiling?” she inquired, shifting into a more comfortable position.
