Dylano’s POV
But even as he said it, I could see the doubt in his eyes. I wasn’t sure if he believed it himself. We were in too deep, and time was running out.
I glanced at the clock on the wall. Only a few days left. Only a few days to find the goods, fix this mess, and hope that my partner Mafia Kenneth wouldn’t figure it out.
And then, my phone buzzed again. I froze. I didn’t need to check the screen to know who it was.
I was out of time. It was Mr. Kenneth once again, telling me not to play games with him and with that he ended the call.
My friend Jerulo who has been seated all this time that I have been yelling at Maurice then called my attention.
“Dylano, I think I have a way out of this mess,” Jerulo said, leaning against the wall of the dimly lit office. His voice was low, almost too casual for the situation.
