“Find out who did it!” I shouted at my men, my voice hoarse. “Someone went into the warehouse and stole our goods. I want to know who. Now!”
My men scrambled, moving in all directions, their footsteps echoing in the large, empty warehouse. I could not stand still.
The anxiety was eating at me, and the thought of what was coming if I didn’t fix this made me feel like I was suffocating.
If word got out that we had lost the goods, everything I had been working for would be over in an instant.
I paced again, my mind racing, but there was no clear answer. I had to fix this. I had to find the thief before anyone found out what happened.
