But I found myself believing it’s true.

I couldn’t understand why she wouldn’t have told me. Why hide it? Why keep something like that from me, especially after everything we had been through?

I wanted to believe her. I wanted to believe that she was telling me the truth. But there was something in her eyes, something in the way she said it that didn’t sit right.
