Logan’s POV

I turned on my side, trying to get myself to sleep. The sheets felt suffocating, clinging to my skin as my thoughts spiraled. 

It had been months since she vanished, and every attempt to find her had turned up nothing. No leads, no traces…just a cold, haunting emptiness.

So why did I feel like I’d seen her?

I groaned softly, running a hand through my hair. I needed to stop this. Obsessing over something that wasn’t real would only drive me mad. 

I had a life now…a life with Isabella, a life I was trying to rebuild. Layla was my past, a chapter that had closed, no matter how much it hurt.

And yet, my chest ached at the thought.
