Maddie's POV

She looked up at me, her eyebrows raised. "Yeah?"

"I want to take you somewhere tonight."

She blinked, clearly surprised. "Somewhere? Where?"

I smirked. "It's a special place. You’re going to love it."

Layla narrowed her eyes at me, her lips twitching as she tried to read my expression. 

"A special place, huh? What kind of place?"

I waved a hand dismissively. "Just trust me. It’s a new spot, and I’ve been dying to show you. Come on, it'll be fun."

She hesitated for a second, then shrugged. 

"Alright, fine. But if I don’t like it, you owe me dinner."

I grinned. "Deal."

She had no idea what she was walking into.

We grabbed our bags and headed outside, where I quickly hailed a cab. As we slid into the back seat, Layla glanced at me.

"So, this place," she said, crossing her legs. 

"You said it’s new?"

I nodded, keeping my face neutral. "Yeah. Kind of."
