I was sure he was still suspicious.

And I was sure he was trying to make sense of everything.

I needed to keep him off track.

"Listen, Jason," I said, lowering my voice to sound calmer, more convincing. 

"Layla and I have been together this whole time. She doesn’t even know Logan is here, let alone met him. Isabella is playing her usual games. You can’t let her get into your head."
