Chapter 948

Logan’s POV

He wanted to get a reaction out of me…and I almost gave it to him.

The urge to hit him was strong…so damn strong. My fingers curled into fists at my sides, my pulse racing with anger.

But before I could take a step forward, before I could say something that I would probably regret, a hand tapped my shoulder…Dani.

I turned slightly, still seething, as he leaned in and whispered, "You have a meeting to attend. Let’s go."

I exhaled sharply, forcing myself to look away from Jason.

He wasn’t worth it.

I turned to Little Jason instead, crouching down slightly so that I was at his level. I placed a hand on his tiny shoulder, offering him a small smile.

"Take care of your mother, okay?" I said gently.

Little Jason grinned up at me. "I will, Uncle Logan!"

I nodded, then stood back up.

But before I turned to leave, my eyes flickered to Jason one last time.

For a brief second, I let him see it…
