Jason’s POV
I forced myself to focus on the road, but my mind was already far gone, drowning in thoughts I didn’t want to have.
By the time we got home, I was still on edge.
I helped Layla carry the shopping bags inside, but my head was no longer in the moment.
It was trapped in a past I wasn’t even part of…a past where Logan and Layla existed. Together.

I couldn’t shake off the feeling that everything was about to change.
