Layla’s POV

I let out a small sob, grabbing her in a tight hug.

“Oh my God,” I whispered, my voice breaking. 

“You scared me, Maddie. You really scared me.”

I could feel her weakly trying to hug me back, her fingers barely gripping my arms. “What… happened?” she mumbled.

I pulled back slightly, my heart still racing. 

“I don’t know. I…I woke up, and you wouldn’t wake up. And Jason…” My words trailed off as I suddenly remembered. Little Jason is still missing.

My relief was short-lived. The panic rushed back into my veins.

I turned to Jason, my grip on Maddie tightening. “We need to find my son. Now.”

Dani's POV

I watched Logan’s hands tighten into fists as he stared out the car window, his jaw set with a tension that made it clear…he was furious.

And honestly, I couldn’t blame him.

After months of doubts, of questions, of lies, he finally had the truth.
