Logan’s POV

I watched Maddy’s car disappear down the driveway with Little Jason’s laughter still ringing in my ears.

For a moment, everything felt normal again. But I knew better, normal was gone…ever since Jason clawed his way back into our lives.

I turned back inside, locking every door behind me.

Dani was already in the study, hunched over multiple monitors with code flying across the screens. I stood behind him, arms folded.

“Talk to me.” He didn’t look up. “I traced the IP address used to breach the school’s security system. It wasn’t Jason. He doesn’t have the tech skills for that.”

My jaw clenched. “So who was it?”

Dani pulled up a photo…grainy and low-res, but I could make out the face. A sharp jaw, cold eyes, dark hoodie.

“His name’s Anton Creed,” Dani said. “Cyber-terrorist. Used to be a military contractor before he went rogue. Now he works for the highest bidder. And guess who paid him last?”
