Chapter 5

Alexander sat in his large office, gazing out of the window at the bustling city below. He was excited about his plans for the day, but his thoughts kept drifting back to Lily. He couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride and anticipation, knowing that she would soon be working for him as his secretary.

As the clock struck nine, there was a knock on his door. Alexander rose from his chair and opened it to find Lily standing nervously in the doorway. She was wearing a simple black skirt and a white blouse, and her hair was pulled back in a neat ponytail. Alexander couldn’t help but feel a sense of admiration for her poise and confidence, despite her obvious nerves.

“Good morning, Lily. You look great,” he said with a smile.

“Thank you, Alexander. I’m a little nervous, to be honest,” she replied, wringing her hands nervously.
