Liam’s POV

One afternoon, Kris came to visit. He entered my quarters, and since I got back injured, he's been taking care of things.

When he entered, his usual confident behavior was slightly calmed. Then he walked towards me.

"Alpha, how are you feeling?" Kris asked, concern evident in his voice.

"I'm healing," I replied, my tone clipped. "Maxine's been taking good care of me."
