Chapter 33

“Let me go!” I demanded as Jormun carried me over his shoulder as he made his way through the penthouse.

“What happened to all that defiance you had a few minutes ago?” he asked coolly as he continued walking.

“I was not being defiant!” I barked at him as I hit his back with all my might. “It is not my fault you act like a pushover,” I told him.

“The fact that you think I am a pushover is exactly why you are in this predicament,” Jormun said as we entered an area of the penthouse I was unfamiliar with.

“Where are we going?” I asked.

“A place where no one will disturb us,” Jormun answered. He carried me down a narrow hallway that I had never noticed before, all the way to a small elevator tucked away in the shadows of the hallway.

“Let me go!” I demanded as I started hitting his back again. He did not budge as he waited for the elevator doors to open.

Once the doors opened, he entered the elevator, then he put me down as soon as the elevator
