“I am so sorry, Mr. Landlord! I know you said that you did not want any wolves on your property, I apologize greatly for my pack breaking your rules on my account,” I pretended not to know Jormun, hoping he would understand what I was trying to do.
“I do not think I can forgive such an indiscretion, Miss Hallow,” Jormun said coldly.
The wolves came to my defense. “Please forgive her, sir. It was our fault. We were given incorrect information. We did not mean to disturb your businesses.”
Jormun stared at the wolves with an icy gaze. “I will be willing to forgive it once,” he hissed. “However, if I see any more of you filthy wolves on my property, I will deal with you like I do the other vermin who dare sully my building.”
“Understood,” the wolves said.
