Chapter 72

When we arrived in the shopping district, the limousine pulled up to a section of the sidewalk. The guard who was sitting in the front seat got out and opened the door for us. Renard got out first, then helped me out. Daring and the other two guards followed after.

“We will call you when mistress is ready to return,” one of the guards said into his earpiece to who I assumed was the driver.

The limousine then left. I looked around and noticed there were more people than I expected walking along the sidewalk. None of them seem impressed to see us dropped off by a limousine.

“I don’t know what I was expecting,” I commented.

“It is a common sight to see someone get dropped off in a limousine in this area,” Daring explained once he realized what I was commenting on. “People will purposefully order a ride in a limousine just to look important,” he added.

“Sounds about right,” I laughed lightly.

Renard and Daring then extended their arms out to me.
