"The owner had some financial problems and decided to close the place," he said, as if responding to my ramblings. "I delivered some resumes, did some interviews, but... Nothing very right. Now, I really understand. There's no other way. Life really sucks. And things only get worse as time goes by. But I should have followed my mother's advice. I should have left this place as soon as I finished school. But I wanted to stay. I wanted to take care of her, although we didn't even know about the cancer yet. And all I did was work in a place that almost no one frequented, lose years of my life in a city that never offered equal opportunities for everyone, and even disappoint and take to the hole every person who stood in my way."
