Chapter 30

Russell cast a quick glance around the tavern at the women who were joking about with the inebriated males.

"Choose!" I let out a low groan as my impatience grew.

Russell heaved a sigh before hurriedly grabbing the bottle. At first, he was hesitant, but later on, he started drinking more avidly.

When he was finished, his visage appeared to be that of a monster. Blood was dripping down his chin, his eyes were swollen and blood red, and the veins under his eyes were pulsating and writhing like snakes. He appeared to be in a terrible state.

"How do you feel, Russell?" I inquired with composure.

He bared his teeth in my direction.

"Hungry..." He hissed and then leaped on top of one of the men who was seated nearby. He began berating him while taking several gulps of his drink.

That was a delightfully simple task.
