Chapter 35
I lowered myself to the ground next to him. His emerald-colored eyes were asking for assistance in a huge way. I wrapped my arms around his entire body and pulled with all of my might. As he slid off the massive wooden spike that had been driven through his abdomen, he let out a scream of agony as he did so.
"There is no cause for alarm, Mister Morayta. I'll put a stop to it." As I bit down on my wrist and fed him my blood, I couldn't help but smile.
I proceeded to take a seat next to his body. While she waited for him to recover, she gazed at the stars through the shattered window. I was startled when I sensed movement next to me, and the youngster bolted upright with a resounding yell.
"How are you feeling, mister Morayta?" I inquired in a straightforward manner while maintaining my focus on the night sky.
