Chapter 24

The next day I woke up early and immediately went to the kitchen to cook rice but Jericho was already in the kitchen. Last night I asked him to sleep with me.

“Good morning, how do you wake up, EJ?”

“Sleep,” answered the young man.

Last night when Jericho said goodbye to his mother, I really didn't expect her to agree. We were about to go to sleep when someone knocked outside. Jericho opened the door and EJ came in smiling with a mosquito net. I remembered my late cousin because Jay used to be like that too. Can't sleep without a mosquito net.

“Have you woken up yet?” I asked him when I noticed the coffee mug on its side.

“Because I can not sleep,” the man answered.

“Is that so? Poor you,” I said. “More coffee?”

“I'm fine,” he said. “I'm sorry I messed with your kitchen,” he apologized just for a cup of coffee. How cute!

“Just a minute and I'll get something,” I said because I didn't give the man my payment last night because EJ suddenly came
