I pushed the door open and she gasped as she covered her mouth, taking a moment to glance around.

“WOW…” She was a few words away from screaming and she dashed towards the bed, smiling softly as tears ran down her spine.

“Mom…” She called softly to her mom who opened her eyes weakly.

“Aurora…” Her mom’s frail voice erupted and she nodded, smiling softly.

“Yes mom… I’m here, I’m sorry for not visiting early.” She whispered as she grabbed her hand and intertwined it together.

“Good day, ma’am.” I muttered and their attention turned to me.

“Alpha…” She bowed curtly and I smiled politely.

“Mom… This is my husband, the Alpha… He’s paying for your treatment.” She explained and her eyes teared up.

“I’m sorry I didn’t wait for you to get well… I’m really sorry mom…” She whispered sadly and her mom nodded.

“It’s fine, as long as you’re happy, I’m happy too.”
