Beeping sounds woke me up. I struggled to sit and looked around. A sharp pain crossed my head, and I was forced to hold it, a painful moan escaping my lips.

As if she were outside waiting for any signs that I was awake, Miss Olivia dashed in, her eyes glittering with happiness. "Kiara, my child," she called as she engulfed me in a big, warm hug.

“Why am I here?“ I asked in a low voice.

She broke the hug, palmed my forehead, and looked at me. With concern pressing in her voice, she asked, ''You don't remember a thing?“ And then to herself, she murmured, ''Don't tell me those bastards hit you in the head as well.“

I chuckled and tapped her shoulder. ''I remember everything, Miss Olivia. I just wanted to lighten the mood," I said.

“You suck at doing that, then. You made me worry for nothing. Do you know, I was already planning revenge on my head?" she admitted, causing me to laugh.
