Chapter 8

May's POV

My brother was not satisfied; he went up to my room and threw the rest of my things out of my window. My dad watched the whole thing in silence, and my mom, always the peacemaker, tried to get my brother to calm down and think it through. I flipped him the bird when I locked eyes with him and kept walking.

My friends texted that we should meet up at our usual spot at the beach, so I wasted no time going. Heck, I was the first one to arrive, so I had enough time to cry my eyes out and make up my mind that I was going to show them that I was the master of my own life.

After too many shots, I began walking to God knows where; the next thing I knew, I blacked out, and when I woke up, I was not in the bed of one of my homies, not at all. I was in a cage at the far end of a room.
