Chapter 7

Blessing's POV

We had tried to keep in contact as life happened to us, but four months back, I had been kidnapped on my way to meet her. That was why I was out in the first place. I remembered how I felt when I woke up in that dimly lit room. After the initial confusion and fear had worn off, a new one came: had my sister been taken as well? But I never ran into her in that accursed warehouse.

So, my joy was finally complete. Who would have thought that on the walk I was taking to search for my sister I would actually find her?

“I missed you so much. Promise you will never disappear like this ever again,” I said as I squeezed her closer to myself, even though there was nowhere to go in terms of closeness, but she did not mind as she returned the gesture.

“I promise. I waited for you that night, but you never came. Some men tried to grab me; I think it was an attempted kidnapping, but I ran. I lost my phone in the process, but I was so scared.
