Chapter 16
For a week, Marcus had been a friend to Daniella. They talked, teased, they laughed, and enjoyed each other‘s company. When Marcus asked her permission to tear a part of her home, she agreed. She thought he would be gone as soon as he could find a way to leave her house, but he didn’t. He told her that he would keep her company until Paloma and the rest of the household members would be back from the trip.
“Hi beautiful,” he greeted Daniella when he saw her coming towards him.
“Hello there handsome. What’s up?” She loved his sense of humor, honestly, she loved everything about him. For the week that they stayed together, she started to like him, but she couldn’t tell him that or he would make fun of her. He already warned her not to fall for him, and she said it would never happen. Was a woman’s heart always this gullible? His simple gesture to care for her was considered precious and something worth thanking for.
