Everyone in the house was present during lunch as Daniella informed them that it was a farewell lunch for Marcus. He was seated beside his wife and he wanted to hold her hand for the last time but he got scared away.

“Sir Marcus, will you come back on Miss Ella’s due date?” Patty was curious to know.

Marcus didn’t know how to answer Patty’s question so he looked at Daniella and requested backup. Why did she tell them that his absence would just be temporary? “Actually, I’m not-”

Daniella cleared her throat to cut off Marcus. Whatever he was about to say should remain unspoken in front of her staff. “He won’t be here on my due date, Patty. His commander would send him to Syria to fight against ISIS,” she answered Patty’s question on his behalf. But she couldn’t tell them that she and Marcus were over!

“Syria? It’s dangerous in Syria,” Patty said. “Don’t allow him to leave, Miss Ella.”
