Chapter 23

It was around four in the morning when Daniella started to feel some cramps near her abdomen, groin, and back. She felt like she had severe dysmenorrhea and at the same time, it felt like she was constipated. She got up from her bed to call on Patty who was soundly sleeping in the extra bed that was in her room since Marcus was gone.

“What’s wrong, Miss Ella?” Patty rubbed her eyes as soon as she heard Ella call for her name. When she saw her massaging her back as she continued to wince in pain, Patty realized that the time has come when Mugsy would see the outside world. “Take a deep breath and relax,” Patty suggested. Daniella’s room was equipped with an intercom and Patty immediately dialed Peter’s room and informed him to get ready because they were going to the hospital.

Patty assisted Daniella to go down the stairs when everyone was up and wait for them excitedly. Patty could tell from their faces that they were also excited to see Mugsy.
