Rose’s POV

My heart skipped a beat. His response was rather unexpected considering how he reacted to the whole situation. What? He didn’t accept?! If he declined then what on earth are we supposed to do at this point?

I looked at Elise to see her reaction, Of course, I expected nothing less to see how shocked she was. The fact that she expected something more from him and it reached the extent that he disagreed was really amusing and shocking for everyone.

Elise, with a confused look on her face, tried to understand why he refused our request. Was he afraid or anxious that something bad might happen if we were to go there?

I actually understood where he was coming from at that point and anyone in his position would have done the same thing that he did. But the question was, Would Elise be able to approve of this and try to understand from his own perspective?

“Brother…I don’t understand, what do you mean you don’t accept this request of ours,”
