Rebecca’s POV

I stood there, staring at this man claiming to be Alpha Kanen. His face held so much sadness and pain, but it still didn’t make sense.

Could he really be the Alpha we had served so loyally? I glanced at Ray and Allison. They were just as confused as I was.

Something about this whole situation felt wrong, but his words troubled my mind.

He spoke about things only Alpha Kanen would know.

As we stood there, trying to piece together what had happened, the man took a step forward, his eyes soft but serious.

“Tell me,” he said in a low voice. “What has been happening here? Why are you all locked away like this?”

I exchanged a look with Ray, unsure if we should even tell this man. What if he was a spy for the new Alpha, trying to gather information from us?

But there was something in his eyes—something familiar, some kind of pain and being powerless for some time. Slowly, I decided to speak up.

“It’s been
