Alpha Kanen’s POV

The pain from the punches still burned across my skin. Every breath felt like fire running through my body. For a moment it felt like I was suffocating, choking on my own breath at the same time.

I was barely hanging on, my mind clouded with agony, but I couldn’t give up. I couldn’t let them break me.

I watched the guards as they stood in front of me, their eyes cold and filled with amusement.
