Rose’s POV

The air around us felt lighter now, even though we were still in this strange, clouded place.

It was comforting to know that Alpha Kanen’s parents were here, and as I looked at their faces, filled with love and curiosity, I felt at ease.

“Now tell me,” Augustus’ mate said with a warm smile. “How do my grandbabies look? I want to picture them in my mind.”

Her question made me smile. I had been waiting for the chance to describe the twins to her.

They were so perfect, and I knew how proud she would be.

“They’re beautiful,” I started, my heart swelling as I thought about them. “Your grandson has your eyes,” I said, glancing at Augustus. “They’re this deep, powerful shade of brown, just like yours. And he’s already strong, even though he’s still so little. You can see it in the way he carries himself. He has this…quiet strength about him.”

Augustus smiled proudly, his chest puffing out a little. “That’s my boy,” he said softly.
