Alpha Kanen’s POV

The air was heavy as I stood, my eyes locked on Jacklin’s twisted face.

The shadows in the room seemed to grow darker around him, feeding off his anger, off the hatred he had carried for years.

I could feel the tension in the space between us, thick and electric, like a storm waiting to break.

Jacklin had always been a thorn in my side, but this time, his torment was different. He wasn’t just angry. He wanted to break me.

“You thought you could just walk away after what you did, Kanen?” Jacklin’s voice was low, but I could hear the venom in every word.

He circled me slowly, his eyes filled with a mixture of rage and satisfaction. “I’ve been waiting for this moment for so long.”

I stood firm, my body tense but controlled. Jacklin had tried to torment me before, but this time, he seemed more confident, more dangerous.

His eyes never left mine as he continued to circle, like a predator stalking its prey.
