I was barely holding myself together, my body weak and battered from the endless torture. The guards stood around me, their faces cold, showing no emotion. Jacklin, however, was grinning. He enjoyed every moment of my suffering, savoring the power he had over me. His eyes gleamed as he gave the order, his voice calm and cruel.
