Chapter 72

Rose’s POV

I hadn’t realized that I have been sleeping until I woke up. My head was resting when I opened my eyes to a blurry figure straight before me. A slightly distorted horizontal image of what seemed to be…Aiden?

Slowly, I felt the heavy weight on my head lighten as I move it upwards and the figure of Aiden begins to turn slowly from horizontal to vertical, still blurred. That’s when I realized I was the one seeing him in that position because I was the one in the horizontal position on the floor.

And now that I was sitting up I could see him clearly standing. With my back on the wall, I raise one of my knees to my chest level and rest my elbow on it.

“Rise and shine…” I hear his quiet husky voice and I feel an intense ache plus the heaviness of my head.
