I gave Lucas a straight stare as I heard what he said. I quickly put on my clothes, and we dashed out of the room, leaving my baby in his crib as he was still sleeping. Lucas stopped abruptly, clearing his throat as he exhaled deeply.
“What about the baby?” He asked as he wore a concerned look on his face.
“The maid will take care of him,” I replied calmly as I tilted my head to look at him, and we continued to walk in the direction of the yard. In no time, we were standing in the yard where the whole army was gathered with their weapons all set. They all bowed down in unison to greet me and I gestured, tilting my head to see all of them. I turned to Lucas, giving him a brief stare, gesturing to him to bring his ears.
