Chapter 238. Ruined
I closed my locker and proceeded to the library, while carrying books with both of my hands. When things got tough, reading was my way to escape and relax. It did the job though. I loved it when my eyes absorbed the words on the page, and it allowed me to block out any distracting sounds that could have been around me.
Even though it had been a year since the incident in the cafeteria, the majority of the students continued to believe that my terrible personality deserved to be made fun of till the end of the world.
That idea kept running through my head, and because of that, I didn't pay attention when I turned the corner. I bumped into someone, causing my books to fall onto the ground.
I bent down, while the other person helped me with gathering the books.
