Chapter 237. Not a Date
The school wasn’t supposed to be cold, but ever since the incident that took place the previous year, the air had changed. I ended up losing my best friend as well as Oliver, and I was shunned by the other students at school since they couldn't believe that I had turned down the most popular guy on the campus.
Thanks to Stefanie and her group of friends, they saved me. I thought I would no longer be able to make new friends.
‘‘It was good, huh?’’ I heard Alex's voice, and I was immediately startled out of my thoughts and brought back to the present. I was unaware that I had already consumed the cheeseburger and had even finished off my soda before realizing it.
He paid for the dinner, and I offered to split it, but he refused my offer. ‘‘Yes, very… It may be my favorite place now too…’’ I smiled.
