POV: Denvereaux Thorne
Knowing about Shea’s possible condition was his top priority to solve right now. After she fainted, and discovered that he was very worried, she instantly dismissed the fact that she was sick.
However, he knew better.
That was his very first symptom before he experienced the worst scenario of having his beast inside. Until he couldn’t take it anymore. Until it had totally controlled him already. And that was the top of the list of things that he was worried about.
“Stop meddling, Slate! I already told you that I am fine! I can handle myself, and stop pushing me to that bastard!” Her voice was laced with the venom of hate.
He slowly moved towards where the voices were coming from. He was still inside his tent, and he believed that it was just two in the morning.
After waking up, Shea told everyone to get out of her tent and that she was just doing fine. But he insisted and got shouted at in the end.
