Chapter 46. Worried
POV: Seline
“Whatever that you are planning to do, just drop it, Slate.” She was mad as she walked towards Slate’s tent after a short battle between her and Denver outside.
She couldn’t believe that she had fallen into his trap again.
“What do you mean?” Slate looked so innocent as he stared at her with his signatured puppy eyes – which don’t work on her, really.
Seline rolled her eyes as she clenched her jaw and crossed her arms in front of her chest.
Her patience was already wearing thin, and she didn’t know why she was just so irritated – with Denver around.
Slate heaved a deep sigh before his left brow shot upward.
“You are mad at him, right? I am giving you the opportunity to vent your emotions to the man who caused you pain, Seline. However, you seemed so distracted. What is running into your mind right now, really?” Slate easily turned the table this time.
She was caught off guard as she pursed her lips together. Slate was right
