“Many valid reasons?” I scoffed. “For what? For trapping me by creating all of those false allegations about me? For turning me into a laughingstock and destroying my life? I thought you were different from them! How could you do this to me?” I choked, sobbing.

I vividly recalled the immense struggle I faced during that torment. The world condemned me for actions I did not commit, saying vile remarks about me and bashing me.

Had it not been for Trevor and the other bodyguards reinforcing my security, I would have been assaulted by strangers each time I stepped outside.

I also endured death threats from Marcus’ supporters and faced a lawsuit from Dr. Smith’s wife. I was trampled upon in the most devastating manner.

All of those memories still felt fresh in my mind, as if they had just happened yesterday.
