He kissed me again, his passion evident, but then he pulled back. “Damn it, princess, just tell me to stop,” he said, his voice thick with impatience.
“No,” I whispered, almost like a plea. I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him closer, and buried my face in his shoulder, shutting my eyes tight.
Why did I feel like I might lose him again? The thought sent a shiver down my spine. The pain of him leaving four years ago still lingered, and I couldn’t bear to feel that way again.
“Please, don’t stop,” I begged. “Please don’t leave me again, Kaden.”
“I won’t…” he replied, and then he kissed me deeply again, his lips trailing down my neck, down the valley of my breasts, and down to my stomach, stopping just below my belly button.
