Freya’s POV

“This is exactly why I stressed on staying clear from that duo. They ruin countless lives just for the fun of it. I don’t want you to be their next victim.”

“Well, I have been. Doesn’t seem to change anything. She’s adamant about destroying me it seems.”

“Well, screw Elena and her toxic relationship. I know mates can go crazy for their significant other but this is just too much. No way I’m letting her mess with you again.” She huffs, folding her arms below her chest. Her pout is simply adorable and her protectiveness is cute.

My mood feels so much better talking to her but my mind ponders on that word a bit.

“But do you really think they’re mates? I thought mates were kind of inseparable in the sense that they’re so obsessed with the other and never look anywhere else? In Silas’ case, he doesn’t seem very faithful to Elena.”

Xena ponders on my words for a moment.

“That’s true. According to what I heard, there’s a possibil
