Freya’s POV

The fourth paper crashes onto the back of my head harder than the last three and my patience is currently hanging by a loose thread. Right in the middle of chemistry class while I practice my chemical reactions, Elena, who sadly takes the same class as I do, decides she’s in the mood to shower me with paper balls.

I want to hit back but I’m smart enough to know how much of a trap it was.

Since the moon ceremony, where she had won the race and gotten the amity flag, according to hearsay, she’s been given the title of Alpha of the month. It’s like being the prom queen, instead the title lasted for a month and a few privileges included her doing anything she wanted to her fellow subjects.

With the authority she had, it’s best to steer clear from her. Elena is more like an evil prom queen than anything else. Unfortunately, just simply avoiding her isn’t going to cut it for me, seeing as just last two weeks ago, rumors had been spreading that in
